Are social problems today not solved because people are too senstive, narrowminded and politically correct?

So do we keep lowering the bar to make minorities look good? Do we keep lowering requirements to get into schools? Do we hire the minority and keep telling that they are equal to whites just so they "feel good about themselves" and then the "problem solvers" bigots and racists?
