Any chance he will take a pacifier?

my 5 month old wont take a pacifier for nothing, does this mean he wont ever take one and is there a chance that he may want it later? he used to take it when he was a newborn, he took a soothie or a nuk to go to sleep with when he was a newborn and now he doesnt seem to care for it much
